The whole Superbowl half time show was garbage. A couple of talentless rappers grabbing their crotch and then Janet Jackson trying to resurrect her career. It was awful from beginning to end, the worst half time show ever.
This is just the kind of trash that runs on MTV these days, so the network and the NFL knew what to expect when they asked MTV to provide the halftime entertainment.
Clear Channel is a business, and if they get enough irate listeners calling in to complain about Howard Stern or whoever, they will change the programming. In my opinion, they made a poor business decision because Howard gets a lot of listeners in just about every market he is in.
The FCC already monitors the show. Bleeps get inserted and occasionally they get fined. That was enough already. I don't listen to Howard, but I hope someone else picks up his show and broadcasts it in the same markets and they stomp Clear Channel. There is no freedom of speech issue here. Howard can find another outlet or buy a station and boradcast all day long if he wants to.
