For my Mightyvac brake bleeder, after using it I drain the waste out of the reservoir, then put it back together and suck a couple ounces of 91% isopropyl alcohol through the hose. Then I dismantle the device, swish the alcohol around in the reservoir and dump it out. I wipe down the outside of the hose, and any remaining alcohol in the hose will evaporate. I store the hose in the original box that the brake bleeder came in.
For the little hand pump that mounts on gear oil bottles, after using it I will pump some WD-40 though the pump. It cuts through the nasty gear oil. Then I wipe it down with paper towels and wrap everything in a paper towel for storage.
