The local Mazda dealer switched from Kendall 5W30 to Mobil 5W30. I assume that is "Mobil Bulk" oil. I remember the Oldsmobile dealer I used to go to had Mobil Bulk 5W30, and put that in my Oldsmobile and the used Chevy I got there.
Recently Mobil is marketing Exxon Superflo along with Mobil Clean 5000. It appears that Clean 5000 and Superflo have occasionally been the same product, at least in certain grades.
Does anyone know if the bulk Mobil oil supplied to a new car dealer's service department is likely to be Superflo/Clean 5000? Or are there brand-specific blends like the old Mobil for GM dealers that used to be on the MSDS pages at Mobil?

What and how old is your source, Camu Mahubah? Since Mobil Clean was formulated to SL/GF-3 standards, I question whether it's even still available with the API "starburst" seal.

There is a difference in mobil bulk oil and the quarts is retail stores,,bulk is usally a lower grade in spite of common opinions, there are other brands that do this also,,if possible use your own oil,and WATCH them put it in along with your own filter,,,,,,,,BL

I wouldnt want anyone to change my oil, especially places with bulk oil either be it synthetics or dino. I just dont know how long its been there, the cleanliness, if it's API SL,SM, etc., if they are even using the right preferred weight of oil, and if they really change out the oil filter... id watch them too, to check and make sure everything seems to 'fit'.

The dealer changed my oil the other day dealer oil@filter and I looked under the hood and the dipstick was not all the way down and it was 1qt over full mark.Took it back and they fixed it.That is why I change my own oil.
