Orange County with Tom Hanks son and Jack Black was the las movie I watched in a movie theater. That's about 14 years ago.

Good movie if you haven't seen it.

GOOD FOR YOU.

Thank you for letting all of us know that you can't possibly have any input on this conversation since there's absolutely no way you could have seen the movie that is only in theaters currently.

So, why did you post in this thread you can't possibly participate in, aside from absolutely needing to be involved in a topic you can't possibly participate in?

BC.

I liked Deadpool precisely because it was irreverent, crude, brash, and so on. And like the Marvel movies I saw before it, had the obligatory Stan Lee cameo and post-credit scene.

Now the preview for the Brothers Grimsby...let's just say I was the only one in the theater not laughing at it.

Sure. It's usually Pop Rivit. He does EVERYTHING better than anyone else.

Some folks desire more for the $10+ admission fee at Shows today. Some folks do not view entertainment like attending shows or pro sports games as worthwhile investments of their hard-earned money.

Personally, I would rather use that $10 to spend on someone that needs the help. I can watch the same major showing-movie that's at the show this week, in 3-4 more years for free. It's not like I'm missing-out on it forever.

What's the hurry to see it anyways? Are you one of those that play Judge when the Academy Awards are shown on TV? Is it really embarrassing when workmates discuss the latest movies during lunch break and you cannot partake?

The answer is No, it's not important and not embarrassing at all. Actually when the workmates are done discussing the latest new movie, I start a discussion on how I helped someone out yesterday.

Got a new girlfriend and want to date her at first run movies?.....OK. That's the only excuse I can think of, that's a good reason to see your hard-earned $10+ used properly for first run movies. Otherwise no, everyone has TVs - same with video recorders and nearby Video rental places.

Spend your money more wisely and put it to better use.

That's all very interesting, but there are still matinee's out there in the $6-$7 range. Also when you make decent money, $6-$10 is really nothing. It's like going to lunch or dinner, about the same price, maybe less. There's no point saving money if you don't spend some of it on entertainment once in a while.
