Dead Battery Recovery (6A -> Battery Minder Plus)

At right around 0F last night and this morning the car started without much fuss. It was only on the charger for a few hours last night, before going to work, with indications that it was already full (hard to tell based on the voltage alone, especially at such cold temperatures, right?)

The only anomaly, was that that, when the car started I released the key, but the started made a quick noise, similar to the sound made when you hold the key too long or maybe when you grind the spur against the flywheel by trying to start the car after it's already started. I've never heard this before, but this could be indicative of the solenoid failing to retract quickly enough, right?

In the end, I have a feeling that everything will be good to go tomorrow...when it's MUCH warmer!

Just to kind of close this out:

The past few starts have been at above-freezing temps and the car starts in ~ 1-2 sec -- something like 'tut-tut-vroom' or maybe 'tut-tut-tut-vroom'

The Civic is starting very quickly during above-freezing weather, so I'm in the clear until next winter.

I'll make sure to post again next winter, to update on whether I have any unanticipated no-start conditions happen, and if I need to replace my battery.
