I am looking for a under $100 clamp meter that can accurately and reliably measure DC current (1A-200A is adequate range) and also has memory for min/max readings. My Fluke clamp meter can do accurate and reliable DC measurements, but it lacks min/max memory.

After an hour of searching I only found two meters that fit these requirements :

http://www.extech.com/products/MA445

The two meters above get decent reviews on Amazon.

Are there any other meters that fulfill my requirements that I should look at?

I'd love if my dc clampmeter recorded peak/ surge amperage. Would also like Milliamp sensitivity as under 0.05amps and it might not register. Its sensitivity can vary in the environment, no matter how / where it is zeroed. Mines an older craftsman, NLA....

I have some rc wattmeters, that employ 8AWG wire. These can record peak amps/watts minimum voltage, but the load has to pass through its shunt for it to register the minimum voltage. I have started my 5.2 liter v8 engine through a pair, in parallel. using Anderson 45 amp powerpole connectors. almost 1800 watts, voltage as low as 7.2 using a newish healthy fully charged 18Ah AGM battery(Ub12180)

These '200 amp' wattmeters are also useless below 0.05 amps. and from 0.2 to 0.05 amps it reads progressively lower than actual.

They are imperfect and limited in function, in more than one way, but are ~20 bucks, and I find them incredibly useful and enlightening to see what a battery is accepting from a charging source, or powering not only instantly, but over a timespan.

The Extech MA445 is off my list. I downloaded the owner's manual and found out that min/max memory only works for AC measurements.
