In many parts of the world today is the beginning of Daylight Savings Time, so don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour. Also, you can adjust the time on this board too, by going into your profile.

blerg, we lost daylight savings last weekend.
A week later, and our 15 month old daughter is starting to get used to it.
(Personally I'd prefer daylight svings in winter. I can handle going to work in the dark, and would much rather have a potential hour of sunlight when I get home)

Also, don't forget to change the betteries in your smoke detectors

My smoke detectors are wired into the electricity of the house (not sure how safe that is though, but it's the way the house came)quote:

I suspect it's time to reindex the database tables as it seems like the switch to DST didn't fare to well with the software last night....

I usually hit www.time.gov the day before the clocks change to get accurate time and set my watch, then all my clocks are spot on when I reset them. The site's linked to the atomic clocks and it runs a java application on your computer giving you the time plus the accuracy (usually better than +/-1 second). The day the time changes the site is overwhelmed and they disable the java application.
Anybody else have an accurate time fetish? Does it go with the oil and filter thing?

I even run an NTP client in the house that updates my linux boxen several times a day.
Now if I could just hook the VCR, clock radios and car clocks to the network...

I find that I manage time a lot better if I leave my watch off.
After a few months without a watch, I'm usually accurate to within 5 minutes.
With a watch on, I look at it, feel like I have plenty of time, then end up late.
As to setting the VCR...I could care less, there's nothing worth recording anyway.

Thats how I am too. And for the few things I do record, Tivo takes care of all the details including time.
