My son loves the movie A Christmas Story, so I've seen it about 50 times in the last two years. Darren played the dad in that movie so perfectly!

Well in a weird way it just hit me McGavin was #3. Kurt Gowdy died, #2 - not an actor, true, but a signature for sure.

"The Night Stalker" was likely the movie that put Seattle on the map, so to speak. Vaguely recall it, though I associate McGavin's name with that movie always.

Bummer.

The Night Stalker TV series didn't last long but I looked forward to every nifty episode.

Much of what spews outta' the TV doesn't appeal to my lethargic mind but that show was worth viewing.

Sigh...... the good stuff gets shoved away so the corporations can appeal to the common mind.... the uneducated mind.... the brainwashed mind.....
