Dark at 5pm.

I don't know anybody that likes it. The politicians have been told very few like it. But they won't change it. Why? What happened to the will of the people?

For the first time ever this time of year is bothering me. Dark at 5 is a killer.
If this isn't bad enough it is gray here most days. Makes me tired amongst other things. Anyone else.
I'm okay with it as long as there's snow that comes along with the winter causing the dark. If there's no snow, then 5pm darkness can f off.

In the PNW it gets dark at 4:30pm and it‘s been raining everyday for weeks. The PNW is suicide central.

It really doesn't bother me. I go to bed in the dark and I get up in the dark year-round. I get to enjoy all the available daylight hours. In just a little over a week we will begin gaining a couple minutes daylight every day until June 21st.

I complain and complain but I don't do anything about it.
I hate that it is getting dark at 4:30ish now(nothing I can do about that) and the cold bothers me more & more as I get older but I still live in the North East. Go figure!

Living on the east side of the time zone stinks. My state considered doing away with Standard Time, but it never made it out of committee.

It's December, it's going to be a short daylight no matter what. If you want it to stay light later in the afternoon, you'll just have to put up with it staying dark later in the morning. October is bad enough; I don't like it staying dark until nearly 8AM. I work in construction and 7AM has been the normal established start time since pretty much forever but it's tough to get much done (and done safely) when it is still pitch black at that hour.

Extended or even perpetual twilight in the higher latitudes is nuch more grinding than fewer daylight hours and I don't care for rapid darkfall near the equator either. Just 20 minutes twilight is brutal. The length of day varies by no more than half a minute at the equator.
