Dark at 5pm.

For the first time ever this time of year is bothering me. Dark at 5 is a killer.
If this isn't bad enough it is gray here most days. Makes me tired amongst other things. Anyone else.
This is one of the benefits of moving to FL that isn't talked about too much. Most sunny days, and there are plenty, it is still daylight (dusk) at 6 - 6:30 pm. The extra daylight is a benefit we didn't expect when we started visiting here. It just makes you feel much better overall.
I suppose it's due to the lack of high hills and the reflections from the ocean, but it's nice to have.
They call this area the "Endless Summer" state.

Right? I probably say it every year now that I'm old, but I have such a hard time adjusting when the clocks go back an hour. I still fell like I haven't adjusted.
Yeah lol
This year I left the clocks at the old time. Fed up with it all

Yep it is...
Weird though seeing Xmas stuff with no cold or snow.

I just kind of get used to it. Days will get longer soon.. shortest day may be the 21st? Wish I had some advice, I've just been getting a lot of rest and making genuine effort to stay active.

Been like that for awhile for me, of course Christmas holds special significance and no not the "Oh what did I get," we mature.. last year, it was sort of a movie day and spend all the time you can with your pets and family. Then December 26th comes (Sunday this year) so Monday should be the back to business as usual.

Meth replaces day light !!!. I have always had the same problem. Once you figure it out then is is O.K.

Yes have all those idiots shining their bright lights in my face and mirrors on my way home now. I’ve almost run off the road a few times cause I couldn’t see. Also makes me sleepy and I’m already tired enough when I get off after working a 10.5 hour day. I travel country roads too and from work because I will never drive the interstate because it’s always backed up cause of accidents and I don’t like driving so the less traffic the better. It’s dark still in the morning too when I leave until about 5 minutes before I pull in the parking lot at work.

I agree. I hate the time change too that makes it dark even earlier. No time after work to do needed chores outside so my weekends get ruined with work.
I don’t mind doing my own outdoor chores and work in the weekend because I am indoors all day. But the weekends are too darn short!!

The older I get, more I dislike long cold dark winter days. Still too many years to go before retirement and be able spend a few months down south for the winter. Trying to get out and get some sun whenever I get a chance to and start thinking about car projects come springtime.

I don't do drugs or alcohol I was being sarcastic. I see the zombie like Tweekers in Oregon and California.
Those hard drugs really do something to a person's inner core being, I have fallen victim to an elaborate scam set up by individuals on those type of substances. So I will say I didn't recognize your sarcasm at first but no harm no foul right

I don't like it. Seems about right after the day starts it begins getting dark. In about a month things should be a bit better. Glad I don't live farther north.

We tried going south and without owning a piece of property down there we didn`t care for it. Plenty to do, lots of relatives on both sides but found short days and cold weather up here not so bad. Global warming is helping make the not so frozen north tolerable.
