Chrysler to unveil minicar
DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler will unveil a minicar prototype this month at the Geneva auto show as the automaker considers competing
with subcompact models such as General Motors Corp.'s Aveo and Toyota Motor Corp.'s Yaris. Chrysler said it will show the Dodge Hornet,
which is similar in length to the hatchback version of the Yaris that Toyota will start selling this year in the U.S. The Hornet is about 22 inches shorter and 4 inches narrower than the Dodge Caliber, the smallest car Chrysler now makes.
U.S. subcompact sales may increase 58 percent this year to 352,000, said George Magliano of Global Insights Inc.
