Looks like the $39k Cybertruck isn't going to happen. Only the 350 mile versions will initially be shipped $75k is the start price. I wonder can deposit holders require Tesla to honor the $39k price initially quoted by Musk? Many places do this or are required to. Oh and from employees it sounds like it's still a dumpster fire with poor panel finish and the suspension being not up to the task. Musk has now decided that it needs to be made with "Sub 10 micron" precision as lego bricks and aluminum cans are super precise.

The $40K Cybertruk was single motor RWD. They have scrapped that configuration.
The dual motor version was originally slated for $50K, so even that number is a far cry from $75K.
The $40K version was vaporware. It would have to have a tiny battery with zilch mileage.
From a business standpoint, there is little incentive to make strippie vehicles with their strippie profit margins.

Same story on the Silverado - cheap versions went away.

Tesla ultimately made good on the 35K model 3, well see what happens here.
Tesla sorta made good on the $35K Model 3. I met someone with one. Tesla tried to get people with $35K reservations (with down payments) to move up and buy the more expensive version. This guy stuck to his guns and said "No." They ultimately sold him the $40K version for $35K. I think it was $40K; maybe more.

Unlike Musk creating his own market space with electric cars (Model 3) the Cyber Truck is going to compete with offerings from the "Big 3". So I am predicted "tepid success" for the Cyber Truck. We will sell how sales volume goes after all the loyalist and flippers get their hands on one.

Assuming that’s true, it’s a good example of why all those preorder numbers are completely meaningless. They were risk-free reservations based on specs and prices that will likely never exist. Classic “too good to be true”.

In addition to the $40k model, the top model for $69,900 was claimed to have OVER 500 miles range. Yeah right. They’d probably have to cancel the Model Y and likely Model S if that was the case.

** I’m looking at all the crazed Tesla accounts on Twitter and I’m not seeing anything saying $75k is confirmed/likely **

Idk why you'd pay $75k+ for a vehicle that looks like someone made it in their garage?

Cybertruck to start at $75k

Here is a video from a month ago that shows some closeups. It doesn’t look even close to a $75,000 truck. The interior is spartan.

Who decided on the position of the single windshield wiper? That looks bad and it’s a hindrance to vision. Stuff like that is a head scratcher.

Musk is a genius and the most successful A-A entrepreneur in our history. This truck is just the progenitor of future vehicles for our country. The price will be irrelevant. You will either be able to afford one or well..

The same reason why people were paying a lot for the first several new Beetle and PT Cruiser. If the volume is low I think they can sell solely on the cool factor alone. Once the volume is up if ever, people would start asking why they need a stainless steel truck, and if they don't need a stainless steel truck, why they need one in that shape?

https://www.space.com/tesla-cybertruck-stainless-steel-spacex-starship.html

The body of the Cybertruck will be cold-rolled stainless steel, just like that of Starship, the 165-foot-tall (50 meters) spacecraft that SpaceX is developing to help humanity colonize Mars. "We're going to be using the same alloy in the Starship rocket and the Cybertruck," Musk said during the reveal last night.

That's pretty much the only reason we have cybertruck in stainless steel, or cybertruck to begin with.

This window panel gap from 2 separate angles is horrendous.

Nice paint scratch

Nice rubber stuffing there.

Elon's got problems alright.

Musk from my understanding. He also removed the radar because lol "It's a crutch " and also wasted time and resources because "All Teslas need yokes" lol.
