CV leaking at clamp

I’m going to monitor it, since car has only 42K miles and it’s a Hyundai (high quality).

My son sold his 2012 Hyundai Tucson five yearsago with 150k on it, no splits or leaks on the boots.

Found factory new CV axel on line for $385! I’ll install some point down the road.
Out the door with tax/ shipping $438.

Why replace your quality factory axle if the boot leaks? Boot replacements are aplenty out there with the proper clamps and grease already included. IMO you're better off with just a grease repack and boot replacement.

I think it depends. $400 for a new factory axle is reasonable, and an axle swap is much easier than rebooting. I barely have the time and energy to deal with the hassle of rebooting with a $20 boot kit. I still do it because my axles cost closer to $1000, but I hate myself during the job!
