Cutting out..with new fuel pump

A friend of mine has this work truck that has 280,000 miles on it(2001 Chevy Express van..5.0 V8) Runs nice but, as we were on the highway it bucked a couple of times then it died. We put a new fuel pump in it and it fired right up. NOW we have it still bucking and we are a tad confused. We took out the DELPHI pump and put in a DELCO and same thing (bucking).. it does have a new filer also.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Might be time to check the Fuel Injectors. JMO

Fuel pressure regulator might be something to look into.

I had that problem with a 97 Grand Prix. The connector between the chassis wiring and the fuel pump was bad. There is an upgraded wiring harness that solves the problem.

Yep, try tightening up the connectors on the fuel pump before trying anything else.
