yeah it was. It now has a fl-400s and so far it hasn't whined about the smaller filter

Power steering on what? Seems like a huge filter for power steering since there are no combustion by-products in a power steering system.

I didn't notice you said power steering at first. I was about to say this did not filter motor oil for 7K, no body makes a filter that good! Thanks for posting WIX makes a nice oil filter.

That is by far the largest PS filter I have ever seen.

Great looking filter. I'd say that it could probably go a full 50k, 60k interval. Not too much stuff in PS fluid to plug up the filter and reduce flow.

I would have to say the FL400s is a good filter for the job and you can extend your change interval probably as well even with the MC filter

EDIT: Is that wix a cross reference to the FL400s? If so i might try one on my car.
