Ah, the old school OG Ultra! If they had a stronger can, they could possibly outlast many of the engines they were installed on! I have a bunch of these XG8As left from the departed rusty Cherokee I used them on, they're only in ATF filter service now.

Does that engine use that size stock, or did you oversize from a 4697/3600 size filter?

I have always wanted to try that size filter on my kids Scion xB to see if it fits, it looks like it would.

XG8A is much larger than stock.

Stock filter has 3/4"-16 threads.

Here is what my logbook indicates for the stock size oil filter:
a) Fram XG3614 and XG3600
b) STP ST3614
c) AC PF53
d) Motorcraft FL793
e) NAPA-Pro Select-SFI21348
f) NAPA-Gold-FIL1348
g) NAPA-NASCAR-NFI91348
h) NAPA-K&N-BK7355551
i) K&N HP1002
j) Amsoil EaO57(discontinued)
k) Wix 51348
l) Mann & Hummel ML1003

Here a list of larger filters with the same 3/4"-16 thread count:
m) Mobil 1 M301
n) Fram XG8A
o) Amsoil EaO15=5.2”, or EaO26=7”
p) Wix51515

I always wondered if the bigger filter from my Jeep would fit the FJ. Jeep uses a ph16 which is the same as the 3614 just larger can and the ph8a is even bigger. Gasket, bypass, threads are all the same. I guess I can consolidate my filter stash.
