Current Oils with Dexos 1 Gen 3 approval?

why are companies tightening their belts and don't want to pay the Dexos licensing fee? I highly doubt the product in the containers have changed any and still is perfectly fine to use.

Formula changes. Dexos requires retesting($2.5 million+)with a formula change. Group 3 base oil shortage so companies are getting whatever they can.

GTL shortage mostly, causing pressure on other Group III supplies. Those blenders that weren’t 100% GTL Group III from Pearl have an easier time with it.

Don't forget the additive pac., some of the components are getting more $$ and harder to come by due to multiple current situations.

They’re just draining the swamp 5w-30 will be the new norm and manufacture certs won’t mean a thing.
