Went ahead and took the Keys trip on my initial oil change. Ended up with ~3500 miles by the time I returned so I changed oil/filter and sent off a sample to Wix (since it was cheaper...)
Results are looking promising. I'll run the next oil change to 7500 miles or a full year and see what the trend looks like over a larger mileage/age range.
Iron is down to 44 from the original 190. Other "marginal" readings from the original oil sample are improved as well. Chromium went from 5 to 1, Aluminum went from 42 to 11, Copper went from 60 to 13, & potassium went from 38 to 11.
