Possibly looking to buy a new push mower...no self-propelled. The Cub Cadet SC100 got some pretty good ratings on-line. It lists at around $250 and is on sale now at Tractor Supply for $212 Looked up specs on line and in their you tube advertisement Cub Cadet states it's powered by a Honda engine which I like. I cannot confirm that however anywhere else. When I checked a few parts look up for the engine at Jack's Small Engines the parts came up as MTD. My guess is that the engine on the SC100 is not a true Honda engine such as the Honda GCV160. Looking for a good push mower and willing to spend up to $350 or so as long as it's going to last at least 10 years. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks!

That engine on the SC100 is a Powermore engine - Chinese made Honda clone.
I've had a Cub Cadet 173CC - version that I purchased in 2008 - I've never had any issues with it.

While it's not a mower I have a Powermore 179cc engine on my snow blower and it runs great. It takes quite a beating and still runs like a champ.

Should be a good basic push mower, just like anything in the ~$200 range. This is an MTD product. The quality of the wheels, height adjustment, handlebar and associated hardware is the important stuff and will be on par with any $200-250 machine.
