Yes, this has been discussed before. It seems to be generally agreed up that Shell Rotella is a good substitue for this oil? I will be using my Cub Cadet 3240 to both push snow in the winter and mow grass in the summer. Would you recommend 5W-40 or 15W-40? Would you recommend a synthetic blend T5 or full synthetic T6?

I bought Rotella T6 15W-40. I haven't used it yet.

I’m sure the T6 will be fine. Having said that, I have used Mobil 1 15w50 in my 1998 Tuff Torq K62 since new with great results. Still quiet after 23 years and close to 2,000 hours with no problems.
