The dimmer I purchased was new from Homeless Depot. It said LED and CFL and Inc on it. I guess it was a "do it all" dimmer. Works very well indeed.

Next time you're in Maine Walmart has them 6 for 97 cents for the 13 watt ones. Surely subsidized somehow.
I'm not a fan of the (fake warm, low CRI) color they give off, but make good utility lights.

I've used this bulb for a few weeks now. It's doing just fine in our bathroom fixture. No noise, no flickering, it just works as advertised.

We retrofitted the "EcoSmart" 6" light from Home Depot into our recessed lighting fixtures and couldn't be happier. It's actually a re-branded Cree (LR6 I believe) unit, and the CRI is excellent. No one knows they're LED until the topic comes up.
Our power company was offering a $15each rebate on them, so my total cost was $15 per fixture, and going from 75w to 10, the ROI is only a few years.

I was happy enough with the one in the bathroom that I purchased the "daylight" version to replace a 23 watt "daylight" CFL that had pretty horrendous color resolution. Ahh, much better! Colors look much better, and it's not as monotone in here as it was with the CFL.
How well does the light spread out? One problem I've noticed with LEDs is that since you have no filament, the light is rather "focused" -- in many fixtures that turns them into a spotlight of sorts, which can look weird and be ineffective.
These act like regular incandescent. My Mom was complaining about the heat off her 75W bulb, so I bought one of the 60W Cree lights for her. No difference that anyone can tell as far as lighting. Much cooler, though.
