There are several of these products on the market--Redline Water Wetter, Schaeffer's Clean & Cool, and others.
They work by reducing the surface tension of the coolant. Heat is transferred better from the engine to the coolant and transferred better from the coolant to the radiator metal surfaces.
These products do work, but they do not replace a cooling system in good repair...clean, antifreeze with the correct dilution, good thermostat of the correct set point, radiator not full of sediment nor externally clogged with trash, good fan clutch, etc.
CRC is an OK outfit...they also own the Siloo and Sta-Lube brands, among others. I don't know about the transmission stuff.
