Could this be UHaul's plan for a bigger vehicle hauling trailer in 2025?

I tried to rent a car trailer to bring daughters CRV home when cat was stolen but because my Pilot is only rated for 5000lbs they denied it. I tried other smaller lighter cars instead and all were declined.

Unless you have a larger rated tow vehicle it will be an issue.
They claimed my Dodge 3500 wasn't heavy enough to haul a maybe 4000lb Jeep Grand Cherokee, so yeah...
Guess their computer requires a Kenworth W900 for that or something haha

I ran into this once at a new location that I don't normally use....tow rig is a 2002 Chevy 1500HD (8 lugs, 6.0L / 4L80E). Tow rating I believe is 9600lbs. I was gonna tow a 3rd gen 4runner and they wouldn't rent me a trailer because they said the hitch is only good for 5000lbs without a load distributing hitch....which of course they don't have on their on the car haulers. I went back to the location I usually use and they didn't care.
