Oh, I might’ve missed a post that someone else had that email. All good, i still got a jug of 5w30 KS for my civic’s upcoming oil change, and pilot isn’t due for another couple of months. Btw, 4x5 qts package is now showing as sold out. 12qts packages are still available

From these posts, it seems like the word is out on this oil and they are selling a ton of it. I wonder if the gas engine oil is going to be switching to Chevron produced oil.

Interesting question. I assume Costco (and Wal-Mart) would purchase from the low bidder that meets the specs and can provide the required volumes and logistics. An integrated refiner like Chevron who also owns an additive company can be aggressive on pricing if they want the business.

Don't hold your breath, man! GF-7 added another test, for LSPI with used oil, but that doesn't mean the older version is bad in that regard.

My suspicion is it will be back by April 28th (when they state that back orders will clear), or maybe even a bit sooner. They probably don't want to take a bunch of orders and not ship for over a week, so removed the items until back in stock. I think they should have left the items up, and just posted a warning with the expected ship date on the listings.

By removing the listings completely makes it all a big mystery and a guessing game to what is going on.

Just got back from the store, anecdotally I’d say the sale has made a dent in the brick and mortar supply. This was all that was available for Kirkland non diesel (which had a sizable brick on an end cap).

its likely the newest formulation in old labeled bottles. All the majors have been compliant for quite awhile.

Also I'm not sure its a GREAT oil.. but its certainly a GREAT value.. esp if you were shopping it vs conventional or blend.
