Corporate word salad

The one I like is this world salad with regard to personality and behavior: On average, women have considerably higher levels of negative emotions, a nice way of saying "neurotic". To me that's like saying young drivers have considerably higher levels of low oil quantities.

Motel 6 gives you the warm fuzzies with their "We'll leave the light on for you" slogan. They don't mention that this is so the police can more easily find the bullet casings from the gun that was used in the last drug deal/prostitution ring murder that took place there.

Upbeat and positive! If you're not already fired up about needing to use the customer service number then you will be once we get done with you.
You ever looked at what's in the groove on top of the shower stall? I did.... Once.

What happened to the concept that people wanted to be the best, to excel, to better themselves in the United States?

Today we have an abundance of over-educated, extremely dumb people.
I feel like now more than any other time in my life we value credentials over experience or common sense. So you get people with lots of letters behind their names but it effectively means nothing, and they wind up writing things like word salads.

  • Wow
Reactions: GON
Instead of just “thanks for contacting customer service. We’ll get back to you within 24 hours” it’s “hi friend, your request is being reviewed by our member success team.”

Like who makes up this word vomit? I’ve noticed this trend the past few years. More and more companies are writing like this. What’s the point?
Just got one today. Our remaining mortgage was sold several years ago to "Mr Cooper" (the lender didn't like the low rate I guess)

Anyway the usual, junk Mr Cooper merged with that racket Rocket Mortgage

"Soon, you’ll see the Rocket Mortgage logo on your monthly statements and other communications. Plus, here are a few more upgrades to look forward to:
• A streamlined digital platform with personalized tools
• Tailored financial recommendations with trusted human guidance
• A connected experience across Rocket® solutions"

Oh boy!!

• You will have to learn a whole new platform and possibly create a new login. You likely won't use any of the tools and we know it.

• see above, now with underpaid humans giving you financial advice!

• we know you have nothing else connected with us but we'll send you spam trying to get you to buy more stuff with us!

My last employer got real into the corpo speak and I couldn't stand it. My new employer will just be brutally honest with you.

Must be the season

Well done! I have been wanting to assemble a corporate buzz word salad, but could not have done better that this! I used to find them frustrating, but now find them amusing. I suspect this is the language being taught in business schools today, and then picked up in AI generated resumes. I would love to interview a candidate who submitted such a resume!

It’s amazingly meaningless from people attempting to express meaningfulness!

Motel 6 gives you the warm fuzzies with their "We'll leave the light on for you" slogan. They don't mention that this is so the police can more easily find the bullet casings from the gun that was used in the last drug deal/prostitution ring murder that took place there.

The "We will leave the light on for you" was just so the roaches would stay hidden.

I've found the newer generation doing this in DOD emails and reports. People get really flustered when I lined out the fluff cow dung, give them a link or paper copy of the official writing manuals, and tell them to start over.
As Sgt. Friday says; "Just the facts Ma'am."

I work for a multinational corporation, and nearly every email, communication, and home page post is nothing but word salad written to try and impress. I'm wondering what life is like for those who believe that is how we all talk.

We just ignore it and do our job.
