Anyone work for a boss like this?

Corporate Shake-up

If you've ever worked for a boss who reacts before getting the facts and thinking things through, you will love this!

Arcelor-Mittal Steel, feeling it was time for a shakeup, hired a new CEO. The new boss was determined to rid the company of all slackers.

On a tour of the facilities, the CEO noticed a guy leaning against a wall. The room was full of workers and he wanted to let them know that he meant business. He asked the guy, "How much money do you make a week?"

A little surprised, the young man looked at him and said, "I make $400 a week. Why?"

The CEO said, "Wait right here." He walked back to his office, came back in two minutes, and handed the guy $1,600 in cash and said, "Here's four weeks' pay. Now GET OUT and don't come back."

Feeling pretty good about himself, the CEO looked around the room and asked, "Does anyone want to tell me what that goof-ball did here?"

From across the room a voice said, "Pizza delivery guy from Domino's."

:D

Various versions of the tale have been floating around for many years.
It's based on facts though.
Carl Kiekhaefer did just that way back in the late 60's.
Of course the amount was less back then and it was the route man for the vending machine (Coke).

During the early '90s, I worked for a company that employed thousands of people. The economy wasn't so hot, sales were down and, of course, the bigger they are, the harder they fall.
Anyway, this company needed to layoff quite a few hundred people and it was the supervisor's job to do it. People were brought in by the dozens and told of their impending pink slips. One of the supervisors really took a liking to this job and was actually joking about it before and after he had to do this.
The real funny part of all this is that after he laid off dozens of people under him (and enjoyed doing it) his boss told him that his job was no longer needed.
Suddenly he wasn't laughing anymore, got really irate and had to be escorted out by the security guards.
Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
