Cordless leaf blower?

I have a Kobalt blower from Lowe’s. I use it for keeping my driveway clean. I have decided to go with Kobalt 24 volt with all my cordless needs. I have 5 different Kolbalt cordless tools. For heavy blowing I use my Stihl backpack.

I have a DeWalt leaf blower since I have other DeWalt battery powered items; drill, hedge trimmer and a string trimmer. They all work great but the leaf blower is not impressive to me. It's down on power compared to the corded blower I have, and for some reason, it will deplete a fully charged battery very quickly. If I'm just going to clean a walkway after cutting the grass, it's fine but for anything more than that, I use the corded blower.

Looking for something that's not heavy to carry around so that even wife or kid can use it, mainly to blow dust off the porch, sidewalk, driveway, maybe dry a car, etc.

I've watched a ton of YT comparison videos, and my head is spinning.

I know people say to just go with the one for which you already have batteries, but it doesn't exactly narrow it down for me as I am just starting to gather up some electric gear and don't yet own any battery-powered lawn tools.

I saw this Ego on sale on Amazon, but I think it might be overkill for me, plus likely too big/heavy.

Thanks!
I've been really happy with my Ryobi. It was free and I had the higher capacity batteries for my circular saw. Light and blows debris well enough.

I went all in on Toro self-propelled mower, leaf blower, string trimmer. They're All pretty good but I got them literally cheaper than buying the batteries by themselves.
They have a nice 60 volt at Lowe's for $65 but the batteries aren't cheap.

If I was starting from scratch and there was no sale I would highly consider Ryobi 40 volt line.
Because there's always some kind of ryobi deal somewhere...

Have all Black & Decker cordless drills, weed wacker's, and 2 leaf blower's. They all use the same battery, but, I upgraded the batteries to 8Mah to last longer. Still have the small ones for the drills. Has a " Power Boost" button on it for extra CFM. They work great for the steps, deck, entrance to the garage, etc. Never had one fail yet. Going on 11 yrs.

EGO for the win here. I have the blower, weedeater and hedge trimmer and four batteries. They all work better than any gas predecessor I’ve ever owned. At this point my husky chain saw and 25 year old toro personal pace mower will be my only gas equipment going forward. I don’t think the toro will ever die lol

Just picked up a Stihl BGA 250 for use around the yard and for blowing snow off our cars in the winter. It is very powerful for a cordless unit. I really like it, but for bigger jobs I will still stick with my gas-powered Stihl BR600 backpack blower.

I have a Greenworks 60V and it works well. I also have other yard tools that use the same battery system, as well as some Powerworks yard tools that are also 60V. However, the GW and PW batteries won't interchange due to slight case differences, so I have 3 batteries in each configuration.

I have a Worx brand 20v.
I bought it at the local Goodwill. Tool plus two batteries and the charger for $12.
The wife thought it was interesting, I was thinking experiment tinker with the new looking battery packs and redonate the blower that looked like a toy.
Turns out it's an awesome little machine. Use it all the time. Could be my favorite blower.

Another EGO user here. Works great for garage / driveway. I also use it for drying the car. After I used it a while I realized that Battery will never replace ICE for the bigger jobs.

Thread on its 2nd page, and something like 12 different brands have been recommended! Ha ha.

I'm in the camp recommending staying with one brand, so you can share batteries with other tools.

I have a Makita 4cycle gas blower/vacuum, and love that thing. The suction feature is great for picking up debris, not just moving it around. Something to consider while shopping...

I have that same blower and recommend it for your needs as listed in your first post, That 12Ah battery will last quite long but when I use mine as compared to the 8Ah or 5Ah, you can feel the additional weight. Your cost savings over the 8Ah is negligible so I would go for the 12 especially if Milwaukee will be your platform going forward. Look for sales in the future on batteries. HD has some great sales. Don’t buy knockoffs! I know some people have had success with them but the few people I know who tried to save a buck regretted buying them.

Yeah, I've read some reviews stating that the added weight of the 12 Ah battery on the back actually makes it easier on your wrist. Not sure if true...

It's $50 more for the 12 Ah battery vs the 8 Ah one.

I got my leaf blower at Harbor Freight Tools on sale. Also got a corded one too, even cheaper. I use the battery one also to dry the door jambs after a car wash.

We have the $100 Walmart battery leaf blower. It came with a 4ah battery and a charger. It works great for blowing grass clippings off of the porch, driveway, sidewalks, etc. It's also the lightest one that we looked at. For those bigger jobs, we have the basic STIHL gas blower.
