Corded 3.5mm headset

I am looking for reasonably comfortable corded headset that uses 3.5mm plug to easily flip between an iPhone 6 and Thinkpad computer. My use case is Google Hangouts/Computer and then smartphone regular calls or Hangouts.

Bluetooth is out mainly due quick swapping.

Anyone have favorites. I tried a $10 panansonic deal but hurt my head and trashed it.

On ear or around the ear sealed? The re-badged AKG K-520 sold as JBL Tim McGraw (Harman,Int'l owns AKG?)have the most neutral, best sounding and articulate midrange as Ive heard from under $200- headphone. Can be found online for under 35 bucks. BUT, They are a bit current hungry!

Pretty sure the OP is looking for a headset with a microphone for voice calling.

If you want mono I used to like my Jabra. I think it now goes by the name "Wave" or "EarWave." I can't recommend stereo as I don't have experience with those.

It depends what you are looking for.

They cost only $80, have been around for 20 some years and still are the leader of the pack. They render the sound so accurately that this is what studio professionals use. Often times new tracks are evaluated with these headsets.

There are others that cost more (by a multiple) but in general they are "bling", a social statement more than anything else.

I've used Plantronics headsets until I wore them out. Currently using a Panasonic corded HS with a boom mike that I'm very pleased with. I'd provide you the model number, but it's not shown!

It appears some posters here have confused Headphones with HEADSETS......

Is it a single-ear muff or a dual-ear muffs design? The Panasonic ones I'm seeing on Amazon are all single-ear muff. For some reason, I have never found these comfortable, but maybe I should give it another try.

I currently have a dual-ear muff Plantronics headset, but the connector jack is not making good contact anymore.

The Pan is a single-ear muff. If I had it to do over again, I'd choose the model with the volume control. The phone I use it on is too loud even with the Vol. cntrl set to min.

I got a panasonic single ear and it hurt!

I like the over the ear types because on-ear is a style that presses the ear and can cause pain.

On the road, I like the in-ear type, but usually I don't keep them in my ears for too long.
