Hey guys.

I got heat stressed positive terminal on my car where the copper got tarnished from the excessive temperature of a loose connection. Could I use some copper spray on it to temporarily extend the life of the ring terminal until a permanent repair is made?

Sanding, as Rand points out, would be much better than a copper spray. The only copper sprays I am familiar with are more for thermal transfer than for conductivity.

I usually scuff/sand and spray with this. Have yet to have corrosion return on treated terminals.

I use a copper grease used in plumbing. Also ti prep for al seatposts into a ti frame is copper grease. Supposed to be used as pipe sealing compound but sucks for that..
