They look good. However, it will be a couple of months before I mount them up. Won't really need them on the truck until closer to the time that sn*w starts flying.

Only bought them now to be able to bundle the DTD $100 rebate and the $75 Cooper rebates.

4 - 16" tires for a 1/2 ton GMC pickup for $289 delivered? Score!

The Cooper Discoverer A/T3 tires are getting mounted up on the Sierra as I write this.

Anxious to see how they preform, compared to the Michelin LTX's on the Silverado.

With two rebates, the Coopers were half the price of what I paid for the Michelins on the Silverado.

And hopefully, I can sell the old tires on Craigslist for $100, and get the price of the Coopers down even farther.

I have installed a set of these on my 4 Runner. Only have maybe 1000 miles on them so far. They did well on a trip to the slopes a couple weeks ago. No more noisy than hwy tires, no less mpg, good snow traction, great price. Whats not to like?

Not yet, going to make it through this winter and probably get new ones next fall. The wrangler ATS tires on my truck right now still have decent enough tread, just noisy and starting to wear uneven, even with rotations every 6K. Just not a fan of the tire. Also dont want to drop $1K in tires right now.

Just put a set on my Wifes Honda Pilot - got them when DTD was doing a 100 rebate plus the 75 dollar rebate from Cooper. We just got back from a weekend in Maine and these tires performed great. Really quiet as compared to her old Cooper ATRs that were on before. We haven't had any snow yet, but as soon as we do, I will post her comments on them.

Do you want to save a few $$$ Buy a set of Mastercraft courser AXT's they are pretty much the AT3. I only buy Cooper tires. I have an 02 silverado 2500hd run a 265 75 r16 E range tire the coopers were $840 I got the axt's for $715 and $75 rebate. Mastercraft are made by Cooper!! A real nice ride and really quiet they are quieter then the Cooper ATR's that I replaced.

I (finally) got to test them in a bit of mixed snow and ice last night. They did rather well. Not quite as good as the Wrangler SilentArmors, but after rebates, the set was $500 (265/76-16 C) versus $800 for the Goodyears.

I just installed a set on my 1995 F250 Powerstroke. About 2,000 miles on them. They ride great, and I haven't noticed any road noise. Seems quiet, but the 7.3L Powerstroke might mask some of the noise. Even so, I bet the tire road noise is minimal. I like them!

I have them on my 96 Ram 1500. I chose a taller / narrower profile than stock because I will run them year-round and have winter to deal with.

They are a good Snow Tire. This is the first time in 20 years I haven't used a dedicated Truck Load Range Ice Radial on a pickup for winter, and in comparison these are not as good on ice, but better on snow. It might be a stretch to call them a 4-season tire, but maybe you could say they are a good 3 1/2 season tire.

Compared to what most people run in winter on trucks (ice radials are a pretty rare sight), they are a very good snow tire unless the snow gets really thick (more than 6").

Summer traction highway, city, gravel, wet or dry, are all very good. Very limited Off-Road use but no issues to report. I haven't had the opportunity to try them on slick mud, but I've gone into some very soft spring fields with them and they were fine.

Again I would say they are a slight compromise for really nasty wet off-roading in comparison to a more dedicated Off-Road tire, but not by much.

I think for all-around use they come closer to a dedicated tire than most, and really you would need 3 or even maybe 4 specialized variants versus this one type to beat them. You only notice the compromises when you really push it.

I like the tire and would recommend them.

Although this size is right on the edge of what "should" fit ... some forums say they won't without rubbing or a lift ... mine do not rub under any conditions. The ride is a bit stiffer than the stock tire size they replaced but that is expected in a tall tire and it's fine by me.

I got a set of full tread depth used Cooper AT/3s for cheap from someone who ran them on a 3/4 ton for a week and realized it needed LT E range. 245/70/17 on a Toyota T100. I've not been offroad with them but the street manners are great. I'm very happy that i didn't spend nearly triple for some new Michelin AT2s.

After running over 75k miles on the last set I went ahead and had another set of new coopers put on my work truck. Their was still plenty of miles left on the old set just way to many miles on them for a work truck.

These tires work very well on the terrain that I have to run on. The terrain is probably rougher than 95% of the posters on this forum will ever have to see or deal with. I never had one issue with the last set at all.

These are great tires.

Love to hear these reviews! The AT3 is one of a few tires tickling the taste buds for my next set. Would love to hear how they are holding up as far as wear and mileage, too.

No replies to the above but I'll post a first week impression.

Installed A/T3 P265/70r17 on stock 17in rims replacing unknown origin (came on truck, used) Cooper Discoverer H/T LT235/80r17 E Range tires. Ride actually feels firmer overall with better turn in and better handling and traction over all (surprise?). Smooth tire with little vibration and an overall nice ride. Looks sharp, more aggressive look than some less than others. Relatively mild side lugs.

First days or so they were super quiet, barely anything louder than my H/T's. Since that point I have noticed an increase in road noise, particularly highway, but it does vary considerably with surface. Not sure if I can objectively judge it yet, but I don't like the pitch or frequency. Instead of a lower pitch a/t or m/t type howl its more of a high pitched whine. Maybe I'll get used to it or it will wear through, we'll see. Volume is NOT terrible, but the pitch is bothersome.

I recently put a set of P245/75r16 on my Ranger. I've only put about 500 miles on them, but have been really pleased - especially with the wet traction and smooth highway ride!

A little update after a few more miles. Tires continue to produce a moderately loud high pitch whine most noticeable at highway speeds on blacktop as well as a pronounced light vibration from the rear which seemed to go away after a rebalance and then return. Most notable for the first few miles.

Otherwise I can only say great things. I run this as a commuter tire, so while it is overkill as far as aggressiveness is concerned it doesn't produce any ill effects on surface road speeds, handles great (even in the P metric size!) and so far the traction has been excellent. I need to go back into discount tire and talk to them about the whine and vibration though.

First decent snow of the year. About 6 inches across 3 days with a variety of conditions from unplowed side street to plowed and salted highway with temps ranging from under 15F to almost 32F. Fantastic winter traction. Maybe some are better, but for an all-season or all-terrain you can't ask for any better in the winter. Yet to try it in deep snow but I have no worries.

We had a generous amount of snow over the last week. I got to try the tires on untouched back roads, packed down and icy highways, slush, and finally the melting stuff, I couldn't be more pleased with the traction and handling. I'd recommend these tires to anyone!
