I'm guessing they will still be made in US, but might have design engineers in and from India. Turns out the same Indian company owns Vredenstein, which used to be a good Dutch? tire company. There is a saying that a smart Indian can make good money everywhere but India, since politics and bias are REALLY prominent in any career track. (plus the electricity fails all the time). My concern is that the Indian company is HALF the size of Cooper, and is borrowing a ton of $$$. Is this just a way to get $$$ out of India legally? If so they could either be very good to Cooper or try to milk them dry. One thing for sure - I'll bet a lot of Indian tires will now say Cooper even if sold in India or the middle east, etc.as a name brand is still worth money. Just FYI.
