Cooler line flush killed my tranny?

Anytime I "flushed" a transmission it was after the pan was dropped, filter/screen replaced and the pan cleaned. I always feared stirring up the [censored] that was laying on the bottom of the pan and circulating that through the system. A transmission shop buddy of mine agrees. Now if flushes were done on a routine basis then the pan drop, filter/screen replacement might be overkill.

As far as the OP is concerned, those transmissions had many problems, and it might just have been time for it to die.

Just note that if it's a typical passive machine the fluid is following the exact same path and being pumped/circulated as it would while driving.

So how can that do anything to dislodge or stir up stuff?
