used oil analysis Thread
Any good suggestions on stopping what appears to be a small leak (at least that's what the lab said)? I've run a search for leak stoppers, but most of the talk is about the GM tabs. I think I've seen the Bar's Next Gen stop leak at Walmart and looks interesting. Anyone use this or have any other ideas? The used oil analysis was negative on water so the leak should be pretty small.
I think I'll try and contact them and see if it is compatible with Propylene glycol coolant as well.
Thanks in advance.
ETA: Right now I'm thinking of adding the stop leak tonight, and then run it a couple of days until the weekend and change with Supertech Syn until this problem is fixed. That way (hopefully) I won't contaminate the new oil, and the stop leak will have time to work. And I'd prefer to ruin good cheap oil, rather than good expensive oil.
