Alright, I am in the process of restoring/updating a 1990 F-150 to give to my son when he is old enough to drive.It currently has 309k on it and still running strong,however some oem parts are starting to fail. I am in the process of changing to a Saginaw power steering pump and using a inline filter for it. I need to install a new radiator and while I am there put on a new water pump(it has 190K on it) so I am really considering a cooling system filter. So here are my questions.
Does anyone make a filter kit for a gas engine?

What has better results, direct filtration or bypass when it comes to coolant?
