It's just 5 years old. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Not sure where it is, but on many engines it can be a pain to get to and you run the risk of leaks if not put back in properly. On a 2006, maybe. On a 2016, not unless you suspect it's bad.
Unless there is a DTC stored for low coolant temperature just leave it alone. The ECM monitors closed loop coolant temperature and will tell you if it’s too low. If you want to change the coolant just do that
I was thinking about a drain and feel like I do with my other vehicles but they did change coolants. Although they are compatible, my current color is red and the new color is green
They seem to last 150-200k these days. I just changed an 01 Tundra thermostat. 197k miles. Worked fine but I was changing the radiator and hoses so it was a good time.I haven’t seen a cap fail since the 80s.
