Is this a straight forward drain/fill? I bought 2 gallons of Peak Global Lifetime 50/50 (9.99each at 7-11) to go in... There is a little bit of buildup inside the coolant tank, so I plan on removing that and attempting to clean it.

I assume most of the sediment, if any would come out through the lower radiator hose if I removed it? If there is, It would probably behoove me to do a flush..

My 02 Focus was a simple drain and fill and most Fords are. You can always grab a few gallons of distilled water and flush it that way. I really doubt you got much gunk in the system of a 5 year old car.

I think getting Motorcraft Gold or Zerex G05 would be more ideal for your car, as they contain some silicates which matches OEM, unlike the PGL, which has zero silicates.

PGL is fine and makes sense if you have multiple vehicles and want to stock only one coolant. G-05 would be alot easier since a drain and fill is all that is required.
