I have an integra nd it uses r-134a My A/C is blowing but not cold so I went to a shop and hes charging me $60 to put freon or refrigerant in it and see if its leaking and then the $60 would be included in repairs. I also heard though that you can buy the refrigerant can r-134a and do it yourself for like $15 BUT! these cans have said to have harmful carbons since they can patch small leaks in the rubber in your a/c system. Is this true??


I want to get it done as cheap but without harming my a/c system in the future. How do you guys handle AC problems? Does anyone recharge it themselves?

Stay away from the stop leak. Ac Repairs are best left to the pros. The same as a refrigerator would you try to fix your refrigerator?

Sure you can add some gas, but if you want to fix your problem take it to a pro with the right equipment and knowledge.

A/C is cooling throw is not good i think its repairing problem if you maintenance the A/C than may be your problem is solved..
