conventional Valvoline or PYB for 5000 OCI?

I know that each car is different and may do better on one brand vs another....but for the most part, does Valvoline or Pennzoil seem to hold up better for a 4-5K OCI?

I wouldn't hesitate to use either one.

i dont know if there is anything overly special about either over the other. They both appear to be good oils and produce good used oil analysis.

Pick the cheapest but I'd go for the Valvoline. Personal preference.

Me,it`d be a very hard decision. Both are amazing oils!

For a full 5K Id probably swing towards YB, BUT I've had great luck with Valvoline conventional.

Both are very good oils!! I prefer Valvoline but would not hesitate to use Pennzoil.

going Valvoline conventional for 5000 miles in my next oil change.

valvoline would be my choice. i wouldnt hesitate to use the pennzoil though. i used to "fear" pennzoil but this website has straightened me out on that. thanks to this site i now use mobil 1 though. if i was to choose between the 2 you have listed today, i would choose whichever is cheaper. if they were the same price though, like i said, valvoline.

I flipped a coin and to be fair I made it the best 4 out o 7 flips. Wouldn't you know, the first 4 flips came up Pennzoil conventional.

Out of all seriousness, I know that one could flip a coin and either would do fine..But has either one of these outperformed the other more often? Does one have a better additive package?
