Again, do some research on the all weather tires and what tests are revealing.

Myself and the other forum members calling out your blatant ignorance in other threads....

Actually, you might both be right, in your contexts.

The consensus was that in coming years all-seasons are going to edge closer to winter tires in terms of cold-weather performance. The test concluded that, "These first movers have set the bar very high, and while they won't replace a set of dedicated winter tires for drivers in the snow belt, they are a viable option for anyone who typically uses all-season tires year-round and is looking for improved traction in inclement weather."

Which is my case in western WA. This snow will be gone in a week. Why should I have to suffer with dedicated snow tires after that?

And tire technology is always improving. They are creating tread compounds with oils in them that allow the tire to stay softer in colder weather than ever before, yet in normal non-winter conditions, they perform like any other all season tire.

We may yet see an all-season tire that is truly all-season.

FWIW I have never run dedicated winter tires no matter where I've lived.

Snow tires are popular folksy name. The official designation is winter tire. That is because they are made not just for snow, or ice, or black ice.
Snow where I live usually melts next day. Actually, need for winter designated tires might be greater in Western WA than Front range in CO.
But, I know people who arguing that summer performance tires are good all year.

No, the PM just shows how insecure you are. It is on par a 14 year old girl being dumped by a first boyfriend.
That is how much actually all this bothers you that you send a pm to another member saying: VW sucks. Not once, but twice. And I should be embarrass.
I mean, if someone told me that an adult would do that I would be: really, why? it is not high school.

edyvw, if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen, man. It is that simple. Maybe think twice before jumping onto someone else's tire review thread spouting off your 'must use snow tires or you are dead' brainwashing crap. Dig?

And maybe you should put the bong down for a bit.

LOL, yes, yours would make it. Other all season would not, but yours would. Plus on Hyundai, I mean, snow plows, move on a side.

Have you at least exercised the intellectual integrity to research how well they do in the snow? Or are you too brainwashed into having dedicated snow tires for one week a year, even though they SUCK BUTT the other 51 weeks of the year?

And no, not all tires perform equally....Bridgestones generally suck, just like VW's.

What makes you think I drive snows 52 weeks a year? Where did you get that idea? Have you heard of lug nuts and procedure of taking off tires and putting dedicated summers or performance all seasons during warm months?
The fact that you assume that people drive on one set of tires all year, is explanation why you bought something that resembles vehicle.

Ever go to work when it's 60*F and raining, and come home when it's 20*F and icy AF?

THAT is why we don't run snow tires "in the winter" in some parts of the country, because hydroplaning sucks, and their wet braking is absolute trash. I used to have WRG3 SUV's on my CX5, and they were the [censored] tires I have ever had in anything but dry weather, and then they sounded like a semi tanker. They lasted 18-19K miles and were 32 and I trashed them and put Altimax RT43's on. I have since traded t he car, and am using stock A36 Toyos. Drove home in the snow today, and they sucked of course, and I am considering the tires OP used, or another set of '43's. Torn on it, but one thing is for sure, I am not buying a dedicated snow or Nokian trash again the first because it rains. A lot. Every other day. T hen snows and ices the next. I don't bring 4 tires/rims to work every night, and the weatherman gets it wrong often enough. The latter, because Nokian has got to be the most overhyped trash I've ever owned. The IKEA/Chrysler of the tire world.

Yes, and this is one of the reasons we continue to buy Michelin winter tires and one of the reasons I'm not overly pleased with the Hankook i-Pike tires on the Jeep.
