Great idea, but not even available in my size (275/35/20).

The RE-11 is a different kind of tire -- MUCH more focused on high temps and dry asphalt. Also heavier, noisier, rougher riding. Should provide better steering feel and response, though. It's kind of somewhere between an S-04 and a Trofeo, whereas the Pilot Super Sport is directly comparable to the S-04. Also, it's been superseded by the RE-11A and RE-71R, for what that's worth.

If 4 ft. were that big a deal at 60-75 mph then your car should be devoid of all distractions starting with your computer interfaces/entertainment systems. Looking the wrong way for a few tenths of second is worth a lot more than 4 ft. So is driving more than the posted speed limit, which 80-90% of drivers routinely exceed. And if you're even talking to someone in the car or listening to the radio, you are probably distracted to more than 4 ft of stopping distance. Anyone here keep their radio off 100% of the time when driving?
