ConsumerGuide : Test drive of '22 KIA EV6 GT-Line ...

I wonder if his has the same issue with HVAC and fast charging as the Ioniq?

The issue is HVAC stealing from battery cooling performance during rapid charge events.

Why do you feel that it's overpriced?
Well pretty much every EV made is to a degree and the rated mileage seems a bit low for that price point. I could buy a lot more ICE in that $ range no doubt. Recently spotted an ad for one of those fairly local to me and the used (barely) price was around $70K, so yeah way overrated for what it is.

Okay, what ICE SUV can you buy for $57K that matches it for features and performance?
As to the range, range really isn't as big of a deal as charging time in an EV, and the Kia is either the world's fastest, or right next to it, in production today. I recall a guy "racing" this against a Lucid Air (500+ mile range) on ABRP and the Lucid beat it by about 5 minutes on a 2500mi simulated trip. The man took this same trip in his EV6, and matched ABRP predictions for percentages/charge times (although he wasn't racing, so he took way longer to actually make the trip of course, the ABRP seemed SPOT ON.)

You read like their marketing, lmao... Personally wouldn't buy a Kia, don't need a SUV, wouldn't piss away that much on electric... to each their own!

Your not serious?
Its a "Matchbox" car. *LOL*
SUV? not even close. 57K? What are you going to do with it?
Haul around a family down the east coast in comfort?
Haul your boat down the east coast or to a launching ramp?

Reading these posts, sometimes I think I live in another world but real truck owners of SUVs will get it. 57k, laughable as an SUV treat as a sporty car.

Wow it goes fast, big deal, never met anyone with a real SUV that was buying one for speed. How about that middle letter "U" = utility.
Never mind the fact that you always have to know where you are going to have to stop for an hour more during a road trip... oh, and your spouse forgot to plug int he extension cord the night before the trip? Ha.
Other than that, I would buy my wife one if it was maybe $25,000 less for grocery store runs in a nice car.

So is the GV70 overpriced also?

This is BITOG, so everything is overpriced ;-)

I have seen one in person up close, but have not had the opportunity to drive one, but compared to the BMW X3 and Alfa Romeo Stelvio we have owned, it seems like a pretty good value - especially in features and quality of interior.

What is a "real truck owner of an SUV"?

You haven't told us what SUV you have and what you tow. We might actually agree with your position it wouldn't work for you.

Thing is most SUV's and trucks have one driver, no passengers, nothing in the bed or on the hitch, and in that case a BEV may be better.

You can certainly haul a family around the east coast in comfort, but probably not a boat.
