This why I like CR; can you think of any other advertiser supported magazine or TV show would have the guts to do this? Top Gear does not count as it is NOT supported by advertisers. CR even put Toyota Tacoma on that list (may be Toyota forgot to send them pay off money?)

not only one toyota is on the black list, but a few imports too. i don't believe in CR conspiracy, even though i stopped CR subscription a long time ago.

the cars have to be fuel efficient to get to this list. can you imagine the fuel cost for 200,000 miles in hummer? and then compare to prius' fuel cost. folks tend to drive the fuel efficient cars more and they are more likely to reach the 200,000 mile club.

i my case i have a garage queen 8 year old SUV with only 50,000 miles while 4 year old prius workhorse has near 60,000 miles.

^^^I did not read in the CR list that the car had to be fuel efficient to be on the list.

It is important for the reader to understand that this list is only a small subset of the vehicles purchased in the US. If you include all of the vehicles purchased in the US the list would look very different because if you include trucks and SUV's (especially domestics) they would dominate the list.

I don't know about "dominate", but surely the F-150 and Silverado 1500 (to include other vehicles which are highly derivative) would make the list.
