As a side note, I've had a Power Probe kit for a few years which included the ECT2000 short/open finder. This is the first time I've used it and really like how it works. Got the inop backup camera working after tracing a cut power wire, and got the parking sensors working with a bypass wire. The transmitter injects a signal into the circuit and the receiver (not shown) is moved along the harness as it beeps, from the injection point out, until it stops beeping. That's where the open is.
