Comparison of new Chevron and new Havoline dino

Smitty, I thought about the email you received and have drawn the conclusion that "of course" they'll tell us it's two different oil formulas. It's two different name brands...until they deep-six one of the name brands, there will be "two" oils.

We here at BITOG know better!

Why else would the data sheets be exactly the same on both the Havoline and Chevron products?

I do agree with you...it's a good buy no matter what bottle it's packaged in.

Chevron/Texaco has seemed to merge their data sheets well. I believe the lab analysis and the tech. Still a different product.

Castrol specs. 415, but labs usually show much higher around 440.

The Chevron shows the most lower deviation from spec I've seen.
