RCD Performance states they have a better solution to CP4 vulnerability than S&S diesel' DCR kit.

RCD claims they have solved the CP4 design concerns, yet the pump is still a CP4 shell. One of the benefits of the CPX is it truly is plug and play replacement for the CP4-, zero modifications to install.

I am somewhat skeptical of the CPX, if anyone could have updated the CP4 it would have been Bosch. But definitely will be watching reviews on the CPX.

Happy the aftermarket is trying to fix prone bad pump quality. There's a lot of psi in these systems and there were some growing pains. Thanks for sharing this find. You going to bite?

It is a good idea for sure. Question is how lucky do you feel keeping that poorly made cp4 design on the truck, cause failure is not an option, failure cost maybe $15,000

Came across some short videos from Whiteface Ford, which posts a lot of videos on Ford truck repairs.

Whiteface Ford states that is fuel filters are changed on time, and the fuel tank isn't run empty, CP4s have zero issues.

Interesting perspective from a Ford dealer that provides a different assessment on the CP4. The last video is on how to keep the CP4 running trouble free.
