Comodo has added antivirus to their free s/w firewall that I use. I also have Avast installed & running. I have recently received the following message from Comodo on several occasions:

Name: Unclassified malware @ 94595830 or some such #
Location: C:\Windows\Temp\_avast4_\unp154246641.tmp

I assume this is simply Comodo A/V not playing well with Avast? If so, should I remove Comodo A/V or Avast? If not, what is the problem?

Thanks.

I have had good luck using the free Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus.

For added protection I am trying Immunet Protect.

It is also free.

I have a hardware firewall in my modem and router.

Seems to work OK. Nothing has blown up yet!

It is not a good idea to run two anti-virus programs at the same time but you can use the two above at the same time without issue.

These programs don't seem to hog the processor either like some.

I personally suggest avast home... Its free and is an excellent AV. It's very light weight and very good at picking up websites that are infected with malware to protect you.

Interesting concept. Can you tell any difference in performance of the machine (any slower?) when using Sandboxie?
