Comment on these HTHS statements

These are from another site about 2004 and 2005. They are by a person who said they are in the oil or automotive industry in Europe. I find them interesting and would like to hear what the BITOG folks think.

He makes sense because he specifically uses the adjective 'extreme'.
Also,an HTHS of 5 is quoted as unnecessarily high.
That's pretty thick.
We all know really thick oil hurts power and economy.

False that there are two kinds of engines: durable and not durable.

This guy is not to be trusted as a reliable source of info. on this subject, IMO.

This guy is Callisa from the noria forums. Used to post here on BITOG a few years ago. I think he is a chemical engineer from Germany.
Generally i 'd say he knows what he is taliking about but nobody is perfect.
Hmmm, i've spent too many hours reading about lubrication and my memory isn't bad after all , right Paul?

You got it. Guess I should have posted, but hate to drag one bb into another. Also there is a lot of discussion besides HTHS.

lol, bit harsh on him jag, after all it is only a forum where people tend to generalize. I believe his point is valid though on some difference of opinion between lube and mechanical engineers, which is fair.
