I had some free time yesterday, so I decided to put a coat of Collinite 845 on my Focus. The last time it'd been waxed was either in March or April of this year, and surprisingly, it was still beading now, even though the wax I used was from 2002 (some old Turtle Wax liquid wax... man was that a bear to apply and remove!). I waxed all painted areas, including the aluminum wheels and metal pieces on the doors, as well as all of the exterior lights.
The camera is just a simple point-and-shoot Nikon Coolpix, about 4 years old. In case you are wondering, the rear bumper on my Focus has been 'modified'; you'll notice the void in the middle. That portion was badly warped and damaged when I bought he car, so I decided to cut it out, and then paint the exposed area behind it black. It kind of makes it look like the American Focus ST of that generation... kind of
The car was previously from NYC, so there were many dings and scratches on it when I took ownership. The scratches have all been buffed out/touched up with paint, but you can still notice some of them, along with the dents. But I still think it looks quite good!
