Well, I prepped my BMW per my previous post. I put collinite on in two coats, after doing everything else.

I have to say that this wax is excellent. Shines nicely, beads and sheds water well (better than the high end caranuba I have over klasse SG on our saab and vw, IMO), and just feels nice, even over the lousy 17 year old paint the car has.

VERY happy with the 476s, highly recommended! Now we will see just how tough it is, and if it stands up to the claims...

Best,

JMH

Been using it (the Fleetwax version thats the same thing)for nearly a year now, holds up very well, longer than any other carnuba that Ive used, gives my red truck a warm glow.

I found it sold at Harbor freight.

Got some pics in the rain the other day...

It beads nice, IMO. Water just slings off, and it feels super smooth all the time.

I've been using the Collinite 476S wax for a while now and will not bother with other waxes. I've read that it was supposed to be hard to wipe off, but I usually wax my vehicles and let the wax sit (to cure) overnight in the garage and wipe off the next day, wipe off / buffing is not a problem. However, I do make sure that I put on a thin coat. Water beading outlasts any other waxes I have used. It holds up well to winter weather.

It sure has been holding up well so far. Beading today in the raining is as-new.

Definitely good stuff, nice bead action there.

I was wondering, the can says to do a panel at a time, and to wipe it on in a circular motion with a damp applicator, then hand buff before it can dry.

I always let it dry to a haze and buff it out by hand, I get less smudging that way.

What method will leave a thicker coating of wax?

IIRC, they say somewhere to put two thin coat on, as this is a wax that can be layered... two thin is better than one thick.
