the ol gal threw a cel yesterday. I don't have time to driver down to the other side of town to aa to get it checked.
anyone see deals on code scanners this week?
I am in socal now and heading home on friday.
how about theconnector? any online source? I remember the free obd scanning software but I need the connector

for a simple code reader ebay has 'em $25 shipped to your door.

same lookin thing harbor freight has for $39 and everyone else, more.

so something which just reads the code and no batt so I have write it down?
How about those laptop/PC based ones which come with a cable? anyone have any experience with them?

I had an elm322 scanner to laptop interface that gave real time data as well as the trouble codes but it broke, IDK if it was the homebuilt cable or what...

I really want a system scanner and/or the laptop based tuner things.
But for my immediate needs I settled for one from amazon, which just scans the code,
But I am still interested in getting a system scanner,

update,
It was a loose gas cap code, I had 2 of them, erased the codes and no codes since. *&^^%$ the wifey did not click the gas cap all the way probably.
